oh god, you're whipping out the whigs. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. I'm so sad they broke up. have you heard greg dulli's other band- the twillight singers.
yeah! they're great! i did notice you had them listed on your interests, which ROCKS... they were kind of local heroes to us here in the area. i never understood why they didn't catch on, they were soooo damn good. i've got all their albums and a few EPs. they do some killer covers, too.
oh yes, the covers. woohoo. I really like their cover of that TLC song, Creep. I think I have all of their stuff too...I think. I should look around and see if I'm missing something. So cool to "meet" another Whigs fan. When I listen to their music I feel like I'm watching a movie. The lyrics are filled with so many images. Much better than watching a movie, imo.
i've heard their version of "Creep" but i can't remember what it's on or if i have that one. great song, though, and the Whigs always do it up right, every time. my favorite cover of theirs is... well, that whole "What Jail Is Like" EP, with "Mr. Superlove" and "Dark End of the Street" and "My World Is Empty Without You" --- ahhh!! "Band of Gold" was nice, too.
