installed a ton of new plugins for my Wordpress. still have to get Gravatars, Ultimate Tag Warrior, and In-Series installed. those 'uns are too heavy to lift at the moment.

Jackie Corley's manuscript for At the Slaughter is fantastic so far. everything that made the earlier drafts i've read so damn good, and more. when you see it in the bookstores, PICK IT UP. it's so heavy, and yet such a fun read. a wonderfully tragic story about a wonderfully tragic character. i'm only a little ways through, though. must read more tomorrow, and also figure out how to get networking fixed so i can print it out and read it at work.

i am totally pining for Speck right about now.

today i had to take a pincushion away from Speck. a jesus christing pincushion! what a horrible idiot that dog can be sometimes. lovable, that's for sure, but a god damned lousy imbecile.

y'know...? as much as i love dogs, and especially Speck, it's survival of the fittest, and if this dog ends up killing hisself by eating a running jet engine or doing something else that's incredibly stupid, i will be both mortified and relieved as well as brokenhearted.

i figured, being a dog, that i'd just naturally like him quite a bit. i'm a dog person. but he's just so tiny... i wanted a big beautiful dumb golden retriever or a lab or something with a lotta roughlove built in.

i had no idea how much i's gonna fall in love with that tiny little thang. Speck is totally up to snuff. what a wonderful little dog.

one of these days we're gonna have us a digeral camra so we can post up some pitchurs.

we're getting a dog tomorrow!
