may my gods and your gods and everyone else's gods bless you, for you have brung me the corpse of a dead man who yet smells so sweetly, an American mad poet beyond all description. i will never forget that you have done this for me; brought me Henry Miller, a writer as bleak as the snow but as joyous as a dog (or is it vice-versa?). and he is only one of many things you have laid at my feet. someday i will lay many things at yours.
