update: they didn't have to do brain surgery after all. it turns out that what they were able to do ended up working all right. i went in to see her yesterday and the doctor said that the aneurism was gone. she looked really uncomfortable with the tube down her throat... she woke up really soon after whatever it was they did to determine that her coil had worked. she's a real trooper; mad props to Tasha for going through all that she has gone through.
