outside the front door to this apartment building, there hangs, just to the left of the doorway and upon the door frame itself, a thick, hanging strand of a snotlike substance, about a foot or more long, at the end of which there is an ornamental display of the most bizarre kind.

it was two snails, about a good five inches long, forming a perfect, tight spiral with each other and around the thickest part of the snot-rope... and hanging underneath them was a huge gob of translucent gelatinous semisolid mucous.

it was beautifully nauseating.
