if i miss work today, i could lose a job that i hate.

however, Holly has a painful case of pleurisy. it's excruciating, and i don't want to leave her alone, although i'm sure she'll be fine.

we do have bills to pay. but...!

Will you being home with her actually help her (I mean, I dunno if she needs you to be ambulatory for her, or what)? Would missing out on a day's pay be a Bad Thing? Do you have money to spare if you lose your job, before having another one lined up? Would staying home with her today help her in such a way that not paying X bill would be okay?
This is what the logical part of me thinks.

thanks for your input! i ended up going to work after all - i had already been out for a sore throat, which may be how she got sick in the first place. she was okay. she just slept anyway. still, i'd rather be home, just in case. she's got phone numbers, though.
